Koby , ( ANCHENT ANZUS N WHISPERS )

Koby, legs to match his body, hard to find in a Neo these days, but this is the type of dog the hippo brigade came from, the current trend is no improvment, in either looks or health, he has an excellent temperament to go with his athletic body, and as if that is not enough the big fella thows mahogany pups!!.

I have put a series of photos of Cally ( Maskhal Jacinto) up to show the stages a Neo pup may go through whilst growing, pups normally go through very plain stages as they grow, most then mature into what you expect, a reasonably wrinkled, thick bodied dog, I do not like them too big nor do I like them to mature too fast, nor should wrinkles be overdone, a plain leggy dog often far outlives and is more athletic than the hippo like things too many aim for.

Cally at 18 months will breed her later in 2010 to Koby a taller leaner dog, the two will make a good match, pups should be very nice Neos.

Cally's father Inizio Lazzaro, neither too plain nor too typy, I like this dog.

Kirra, (Lacalbray Castalia ) a bit on the short legged side for my usual taste, but a good solid muscled girl and put with Koby pups should be more like what I like to see, both she and Cally have that Neo temperament and super intelligence that you just do not find in other breeds.

Abcalert Wooshka (male)NOW RETIRED

Abcalert Wooshka. one of the best of the pups we have kept, not over large nor over typy, his character is all you could want and more, highly protective, very stable, very intelligent, fit and well muscled, this dog is close to my ideal Neo, what I feel the dogs should both look and act like, along with that, he has the health that so many lack these days.

Neomastro Bambino.(Male)retired

Bambino, another dog who has come from a very bad start in life, over 15 kg. underweight at four years of age, he shows signs of having been belted as well as starved, though his Neo character is still there in his will to guard from outsiders his area, and although we have not had him long he is already devoted to us, and is slowly learning to eat well though it will take time to get this beautifully bred dog up to the weight he should be. Bambino is from the Italian import Ricco Del Nolano and is a grandson of the famous dog Leone.

He is a tall dog and though thin at the moment is very well muscled with great bone structure, and a beautiful head, these days it is very hard to find a dog like this one, with all things in good proportion, rather than the too short legs and excessive wrinkle which has become the norm, along with the attendant problems such breeding brings. At present he weighs 55kg and should be around 70. Bambino moves fluidly, a picture to watch, he does not 'shamble' but floats along, and is very athletic and fast on his feet for a Neo.

Belamico Brave Warrior (Male)died from a snake bite, great old dog and fit to the last

Warrior's parents were both Italian imports from the famous Della Zacchera kennel, he is a stocky, powerfully built dog, though not over typy, Warrior is an excellent Neapolitan Mastiff, at 5 years age he has had no problems and is still siring beautiful pups, still loves to gallop and play, he can handle the summer heat or the below zero temperatures our winter reaches at times, Warrior has good strong bone and straight legs, good wrinkle, but not to excess. His nature very loving toward us, but he is highly suspicious of strangers, this is most likely due to his upbringing and a lack of socialisation as a young dog as much as the natural suspicion shown by many Neos toward strangers, we bought him at seven months of age, he had been with his breeder til then, he was in poor condition and appeared to not know what grass was, he also had an eating problem, did not seem to know what a bone was for, would not, or could not, eat much at one time, from such a sorry start in life this dog has blossomed into a fine dog, now as at home in the paddock as in his day pen.

Neostoric Sophia (female)retired

Sophia, A fine bitch she is a bit more typy than our preferred lines, but still not over sized, she is a healthy dog, never to the vet except for vaccinations, she has produced some very pleasing pups, more importantly, Sophia has the true Neo temperament, though laid back most of the time, she will not hesitate to do what she must to repel a perceived intruder, she is strong minded yet obedient to us. She is a grandaughter to the blond Italian import Brio (bought in by Magnufi) and has thrown blond pups

Abcalert Swaggless (Female)

Abcalert Swaggless, slightly less typy than Panther, a great guard, and the 'clown' among our Neos, this one always has a joke to play, on us or her kennel mates, she is very stable and an active and athletic Neo with no history of ill-health, my main problem with her is to keep her weight down for she is one of those dogs who just does so well that she easily gets over weight.

Abcalert Pink Panther (Female)

Abcalert Pink Panther, is a beautiful style of dog a little more typy than many of our home bred dogs, but not lacking in health or mobility for all that, she weighs around 55 to 60 kg. depending on the season, and has given us some excellent pups.

She is quite fearless, though friendly, and always right on the ball to let us know if a stranger is about, always a fit dog as our breeders must be, this is one very pleasing bitch.
