LEATHER COLLARS, LEADS, AND HARNESS HAND MADE BY BEA.

MOST OF US WANT THE BEST FOR OUR DOG, AND WHEN IT COMES TO LARGE DOGS IT IS NOT ONLY NICE TO HAVE THE BEST, IT IS ESSENTIAL, THE RUBBISH ON SALE IN PET SHOPS IS NOT RELIABLE NOR OFTEN STRONG ENOUGH, THE CRAPPY CLIPS ARE MADE OF LOW GRADE STEEL WHICH BREAKS UNDER LESS PRESSURE THAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM LOOKING AT IT, SOME OF THE LEAD MATERIAL IS FAIRLY STRONG BUT WILL CERTAINLY BURN YOUR HANDS IF THE DOG TAKES OFF UNEXPECTEDLY AND I HAVE SEEN IT BREAK ALSO, DUMPING THE MAN ON THE OTHER END UNCEREMONIOUSLY ON HIS BUM WHILE THE DOG RAN FREE.

THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR GOOD QUALITY LEATHER, AND NOT ALL YOU SEE IN SHOPS IS GOOD QUALITY LEATHER EITHER, MOST OF IT IS CHEAP IMPORTED STUFF WHICH WILL ALSO BREAK EASY, AND IT IS STILL NOT ALL THAT CHEAP TO BUY.

LEATHERWORK FROM BEA IS ALL HAND MADE FROM GOOD QUALITY LEATHER, CLIPS AND BUCKLES ARE ALL PURE BRASS WHICH DOES NOT SNAP EASY, AND IT IS SOLID BRASS NOT THE DIPPED STUFF YOU FIND IN MOST HARDWARE STORES WHICH IS NO BETTER THAN THE POT METAL CRAP USED IN MOST FACTORY MADE LEADS.AND COLLARS.

PURE BRASS WILL GIVE A FAIR BIT BEFORE IT SNAPS WHERE CHEAPER METALS DO NOT, SO DOES GOOD QUALITY LEATHER AND IT IS BOTH STRONG AND EASY ON THE HANDS, WILL NOT GIVE YOU BURNS AS CAN ROPE OR OTHER FABRIC TYPE STUFF.

A couple of pics of the new leads ,25mm wide , a little over 5mm thick and about 6 ft long  can also make them from 3.5mm leather if someone has a smaller dog and wants a lighter lead if you like to put them on the site i was thinking of $50 each ,they are much nicer than the old ones and the stitching is much longer and will do them in this natural , brown or black

This is a style of collar almost never made commercially, notice the ring to which you attach your lead is PAST the buckle not behind it? this gives extra safety, if the leather holding the ring should wear and break, the rest of the collar is still holding the ring in place, you still have control of your dog, other collars again will have a ring attached to them by two rivets and a separate piece of leather, this breaks in time and the ring goes with it, so does the dog,  the type shown above is as safe you can get.

The underside of the collar.
Another view of the topside of the collar, this collar is suitable for work or everyday use, Bea can also make you a fancy collar with great silver do-hickey's as well for the dog who likes to dress up!!

Collars can be made in different widths and lengths to suit as well.

These leads are strong and look good too, far more professional than webbing or rope and will last almost forever with care. the stuff I have shown above is all stuff I got from Bea and that I am using and am very pleased with, the lead at the top of the photo is for working my Bandogs in protection work and is very solid, the bottom lead is longer and thinner and easy to handle and I use it for obedience training or every day use.
